Mission
The Endowment for Community Leadership is committed to fixing the leadership crisis facing urban America. We do this by recruiting and developing urban ethnic leadership. We encourage partnering of leaders from different ethnic backgrounds in order to better serve their respective communities as well as our country.
Vision
We believe that the problems of our urban centers will begin to change as people recognize that:
1) Purpose for life itself and proper values must come from a solid moral and spiritual foundation;
2) The well-being of the family is an essential bulwark of our society and must be strengthened;
3) Individuals are responsible for their own actions, lifestyle and behavior including the resulting consequences;
4) Productive work is a necessary part of life. We gain much identity, self esteem and meaning in life by being involved in productive activity where reward is linked to achievement.
These four principles guide the goals and strategies of the Endowment for Community Leadership.
